The purpose of the Faculty Recruitment and Development Committee is to: Collaborate in the recruitment of qualified faculty; support the development of all faculty; and facilitate team-building within the Nurse Practitioner Program;

Faculty Hiring and Evaluation

1. Develop a clear description of minimum qualifications for courses taught;

2. List any other specific requirements and/or areas of specialty needed

3. Consider “experience working with/teaching in Haiti as one of the criteria

4. Develop criteria for evaluating faculty (a process for rating faculty)

5. Identify and directly contact potential faculty members

6. Develop and distribute promotional materials such as a brochure and a poster

7. Plan and oversee general recruiting efforts

8. Coordinate mailings, phone calls, matching services with the Committee and UEH
